This tour starts at 9.30 meeting up at the Skanderbeg Square in Tirana. You will visit the Historic Museum, have a look at the last traces of the Ottoman Empire, Et’hem Bey Mosque and the Clock Tower. As you go across the street, your guide will lead you to the true spirit of Tirana, the New Bazaar. Recently gone under renovation, the New Bazaar has a little of everything for everyone. Local street food, antique shops, fresh fruits and colorful buildings is what you’re looking for !

From Tirana to Kruja, your journey will take a 180 degree turn. Kruja is your ticket to go back in medieval history by visiting the castle and Skanderbeg Museum and the unique bazaar.
The medieval hero Gjergj Kastrioti called “Scanderbeg” is considered not only by Albanians as a symbol of resistance and savior but also by ottomans who believed that a supernatural force dwelt in him. The museum carrying his name is a piece of history brought in time. The walk in the Old Bazaar full of old shops that sell traditional handmade items will keep you back in time as if the years didn’t pass by. Overnight in Kruja.

It is time to travel towards Shkodra. You’ll get a chance to visit Rozafa Castle , Mesi Bridge one of the longest Ottoman bridges as well as Marubi Exhibition – the first ever photograph taken of Albania and various Albanian places of  importance, events and portraits. An interesting site is also the communist jail where almost 5548 prisoners were killed, and learn about the difficult time of the country.You’ll spent the night in Shkodër.

Next morning will find you driving to Theth. Once there you’ll have time to experience the heartwarming welcome by locals, as well as visit Syri i Kaltër, eat delicious food and spent the night in a guesthouse.

The very next morning will find us walking and hiking from Theth to Valbona. The breathtaking views of Albanian alps will leave you speechless. The trail is part of  Peaks of The Balkans which is the winner of Best trail of The Year 2013. After 6 hours of walking and hiking your destination will be right in front of you. Valbona and Theth are the pearls of the Albanian Alps, untouched and well preserved. You’ll spend the night in the guesthouses.

After breakfast with locals, we’ll drive to Prizren. Prizren is home to Albanian League of Prizren, held in 1878 as the League for the Defense of the Rights of the Albanian Nation, now the most famous and visited historical museum.Visit to the old part of the town Stone Bridge (dating from 16 century), Sinan Pasha Mosque, Catholic Cathedral, Orthodox Monastery, as well as the Castle of Prizren. Return to Tirana.
